On their recent trip to The Gambia, KK SAS members visited Sitahuma school. Arriving at lunchtime, they found proceedings held up by a shortage of plates! Sally and John Maylin went straight to the market to buy some more, speeding up the lunch service and allowing for more time in the classroom.

The nursery painted by David and Jill Bennie’s group was looking lovely, as was the beautiful library completely transformed by a team of teachers from All Saints Junior School last February. New teachers accommodation being sponsored by All Saints was also taking shape.

The head teacher produced an excellent report of progress at the school, along with a wish list, which included five donkeys and carts to ferry children from feeder villages back and forth to nursery.
